Château La Coste, Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade

OK, you would like to admire some beautiful landscapes, see art and taste a lovely rosé? However, your kid wants to run around and move? I have the perfect go-to for you! It is the marvelous place called Château La Coste. Château La Coste is a kid-friendly wine domaine just a few kilometers from Aix-en-Provence.

Château La Coste is a huge vineyard with amazing land art objects, specially made for the domaine by artists all over the world. To have a walk on the landscape, you buy a ticket at the modern reception building. From there you are free to go and walk by as much art as you (and your kid) can handle.

As a family we were attracted to the domaine because of a workshop Land Art for parents and kids during the holiday. It was a great afternoon. Abigail from the Château guided us along some magnificent art and she motivated the kids by collecting all kinds of natural treasures. With picked flowers, leafs and stones the kids ran around from object to object. There were some interactive objects, for example an object with coins and magnets as well as a turning waterdrop.

The grande finale was the making of the kids their own land art. Lucky you, these workshops are organized several times a year. If you can’t join one, here is inspiration to have your kids motivated.

To top of your great stay at Château La Coste, you can visit the restaurant or the café with big terrace (with a lot of space to move around). What a great place to taste a delicious rosé or aperatives, oh and of course juices for the kiddies. Little important detail for young parents… The toilet even has, and this is rare in France (!), a changing table.
