Have I got a secret for you to reveal…. psst… It is a place called Ma ferme in Eguilles, which is a charming village next to Aix-en-Provence. Ma ferme is a kid-friendly farm shop in the middle of the ‘campagne’. It’s not perse the intention to be kid-friendly, however there are some nice elements that make it a kid-friendly activity around Aix-en-Provence.

Let’s begin with animals… The place has some cuties walking about, for instance goats, geese, pigs and lots of chickens. On a field behind the farm there are even ponies and donkeys. Besides the cattle, there is also a lot of interesting fauna to look at. Especially tempting for the mums and dads because they have so many beauties, such as camelia’s, lavender, oleanders for example. And all that for quite a fair price. Moreover you also find fresh fruits and veggies inside, plus some true delicacies.

So when you’re not truly convinced, therefor my final argument why this place is so great to go to with kids. Every day of the week a different food truck serves delicious lunches that you can eat at a very romantic outdoor terrace. Its simpleness makes it very easy to take your child along. You just take place at one of the picnic tables and can enjoy a beautiful view over plants and fields. However just don’t expect any service at the table, toilets or kids chairs, than you will be just as happy as me. Tasty schedule

Ma ferme is open every day from 9 to 19 o’clock and welcomes a food truck from 12-14h. Even now in this confinement period. The food trucks have their own day of the week, for now this is the schedule:

Monday: El Jeffe, Cuban street food
Tuesday: Id’Gourmande, traditional kitchen
Wednesday: Ker Zesto, savoury galettes and sweet crêpes from Bretagne
Thursday: Chifoumi, Thai and Vietnamese kitchen
Friday: Meat People, meat bar with homemade fries
Saturday: Good truc, healthy vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food
Sunday: Mozaik2goûts, Greek and Mauritian kitchen.
