LIFE IN AIX

Life in Aix and around Aix! Welcome to this new page full of content you would like to read if you are newly living here or thinking of moving to the Provence. All the other blogs on my website are written from a perspective of joined family activities. As you might know I also run an Instagram account and I get lots of questions there about day to day parent life. But my first articles that I post here are actually about YOU, making sure you are having a good time in the Provence as a parent. As the French say: find that 'joie de vivre'.

She had lots of success in high end portrait, family and corporate photography in the Big Apple. Camille belonged to the best portrait photographers when working in New York. Then life brought her family to the Provence, it is in Cabriès close to Aix-en-Provence and Marseille where she created her new studio. My…

    Apéros with family

If you are reading this blog and live in the Provence, then you already heard of them: apéros. And if you are new to this phenomenon, then try to experience an apéro with kids when in France! It’s a short word for apératif, and comes down to enjoying an early evening drink and bite with your friends or family. The French master these moments and lots of venues host an apéro. I have selected a few places around Aix-en-Provence where you can spend a wonderful time enjoying an apéro with kids. Terre Ugo, Puyricard This fairytale place is a family run lavender field. Terre Ugo is a very popular wedding…
