Picnic Château Gassier
Sometimes you just have to extend the idea of kid-friendly activities, also to make yourself very happy. And a happy you is always a good idea for the whole family! So what would you think of a picnic with kids on a vineyard?
The vineyard I would like to suggest you is Château Gassier in Puyloubier, a village near Aix-en-Provence. The château is situated in a beautiful surrounding, right on the foot of the Sainte-Victoire mountain. Picture acres of vines and the impressive mountain range and you must be as enthusiastic as me. On top of that the vineyard organises several cute events, like an outdoor cinema or an astronomic evening. Those being more focused on adults, Château Gassier offers as well a picnic with kids on a vineyard.
After walking a path of 3km through the vineyard, there is a gathering of several picnic tables with a romantic view on the Sainte-Victoire. The Château has a menu online with the option to order adults (20 euro p.p.) and kids (14 euro p.p.) menus. Up to two days in advance your wished day, you can order your sandwiches or salads. Don’t miss out on the delicious desserts as well, like a Nutella muffin or tarte citron. The icing on the cake is the accompaniment of a bottle of the own rosé (50cl).
And if you like the rosé as much as I do, you could buy a few bottles for your apéro at home. Château Gassier is opened during the week, so you could book your picnic from Monday till Friday. Find the contact information on their website.
